"We believe in the power of the people and in community and personal transformation.” — Young Lords

Those words still guide the spirit of our neighborhood today. In East Harlem and across the 68th Assembly District, real change has always come from everyday people standing together, organizing, and lifting up leaders who are committed to our community.

One of the most important ways we exercise that power is by helping our endorsed candidates get on the ballot. Ballot access is how we make sure our community’s voices, concerns, and solutions are represented in government. It ensures that the people—not special interests—decide who has the opportunity to lead.
